Hello LFAD members,

I created an account back in 2009, shortly after I met Bryant on Facebook through mutual friends. We talked for a month or so before he asked me to be his girlfriend over aim May 13th, 2009. I was 17 he was 20, naughty I know but age is just a number. He was stationed in Hawaii with the Marines, I was finishing my senior year of high School in California, where we are both from.

Four months later we finally met in person. He was sent to San Diego for a class relating to his job and it was the perfect opportunity for us to see if we had just as much chemistry in person as we did over Skype. It was the a wonderful 10 days of just getting to know even more about each other, and when i dropped him off at the airport, my heart sank, and I thought i would never recover. Then in November a mere 2 months later I got to take my first trip to Hawaii to be his date to the Marine Corps Ball. It was only 5 days but I was so happy to be with him again. Going back home was another heart-wrenching moment. I wasn't sure when I would see him again.

December came and he surprised me with the news that he was coming home for 2 weeks. No class, 14 days together with no interruptions. It was amazing. We celebrated my 18th birthday, Christmas, and stayed in various hotels all around our neighborhoods where we grew up. Once again him going back to Hawaii, I cried for hours. i loved him so much and I couldn't be with him. We started talking about marriage, but he didn't sound as serious as I wanted him to be. he came back in January for a couple days for his cousins boot camp graduation and on January 9th in the early morning hours, he got down on one knee and.... gave me a promise ring. We would be together forever. i admit it was a little disappointing when it was just a promise ring, but I understand he wasn't quite ready yet. After he went back in January, there were no more up coming events to look forward to, this was the hardest part of our relationship. Neither of us knew when we would be able to travel to see each other, and no matter how much you love someone it is hard to be that far away and not to get bored and tempted to move on when you see so many friends happy with their significant others right there in each others arms all the time.

March rolled around and i graduated High School. Bryant bought a ticket for me to see him to celebrate me making it out of that horrid place alive. I take the excruciating 6 hour flight, get off the plane and make my way to baggage claim. Waiting patiently, I look up and see my handsome man in his uniform. He has the most beautiful boutique of tropical flowers. He hands them to me and we walk to the car. He tells me he had a special walk planned but since my flight was delayed an hour it was kind of ruined. We get to the car, i set the flowers on the hood and a box falls to the ground. I'm both confused and excited. It can't be what I think it is, we have only mentioned the marriage thing a handful of times since November. He gets down on one knee, opens the box and inside is the most beautiful ring i have ever seen. He tells me he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life making me happy. He asks me to marry him and of course I say YES! I couldn't stop smiling the ring, that he designed himself was beautiful, and I never thought I would be proposed to in the Honolulu Airport parking lot. Hey, its unique!

We had a wonderful couple of days and then he tells me he has a surprise. He sends me to my hotel room and says he will see me in a couple of hours, just be ready by 5 pm. I get to my hotel room and there is a beautiful white dress in my closet and a boutique of yellow roses on my bed with a note that says I hope your ready. I make sure I'm ready by 5, wearing the dress with flowers in hand. I go downstairs and there is a limo waiting. his best friend is inside wearing a tux. We make our way to a beautiful secluded beach and there his marine family is waiting with Bryant and a pastor. He had planned the whole thing. We were getting married. Today!

We say our vows and say I do. Exchanging the rings and finally the kiss. March 10th 2010 I married the man of my dream Bryant Krause.

We are now stationed in California, near family and friends. On April 20th 2011 I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Annabelle Fayth.

So to all of those long distance lovers out there, if you are truly in love, don't give up. you can make it work and eventually be together forever!
