    LDR Australia & USA

I met my SO a month ago on an online dating site. I knew straight away I was going to fall in love with him and I did. I have no doubt he is my twin flame/soul mate. He lives in New Jersy, U.S and I live in Sydney, Australia. Although it's only been 4 weeks the connection we feel is out of this world. We Skype, message daily and we are Facebook friends. I can honestly say I have never felt this way about anyone in my life. (I am 40 he is 45) We are going to meet for the first time in September. I am flying to the U.S to spend 12 days with him. This all feels like a dream and I am so happy. I am so glad I found this forum as most of my friends don't understand. It's nice to connect with people going through the same thing. I am really enjoying reading the posts and realising it's quite common and we are not going crazy!

Welcome here Good luck on your visit
I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. And yet still it is as if we have been together forever, as if he has always known my life, my soul, my body, my light, my pain

Hi I'm Ericanna's other half on the other side of the world and what she describes is not only accurate but probably the most intense feeling I've ever had. I've never felt this way about anyone in my life. I'm hoping this forum will help guide us through the few years we'll have apart until we finally meet for good. Currently I'm planning to move to Australia in about 3 years when my son enters High School and it's undoubtedly going to be a long road but at this point I can't imagine ever being with anyone else...

I wish you two luck, as I am going through this same situation at the moment and because of my age with me being over 31 its hard to move to Australia, unless you marry of course. At this moment we don't want to marry but we are going to try to become de facto. It's going to be a long process.

Thankyou InLove81 : ) How long have you guys been in a relationship? Have you actually met? Yes these are things Eric and I will need to work out. I guess at this point we know it will be at least 2 - 3 years before we need to look at how we will bridge the gap. It definitely is a process!

We have been in a relationship since about February this year. We have not met, I am going to Australia in August for 3 months, at that point we will begin our journey on closing the gap. It's so hard to not be together, I dont think I could survive 2-3 years like you two! Good luck!!! You can always message me if you need to talk!

Yeah I kind of need to take one day at a time at this point. It's very over whelming and difficult. I'm hoping it will get easier. We are also going to commit to seeing each other at least every 6 months. All the best for you guys!! Feel free to message anytime : )

Thanks inlove81, if it were completely up to me I would be over there now, I decided on the time frame because I have a 10 year old son ( not primary placement ) and I'm waiting until he gets a little older before I feel comfortable making the permanent move...it's very hard and a hard decision but in life decisions are not always easy especially if the rewards are great. Is it September yet o.O

Hello Differentcountries, I just dropped Anna off at JFK in NYC earlier today after a 12 day visit and all I can say is that it was everything we ever hoped for it's almost like we've known each other our entire lives and I can't wait to see her again in March when I go to Sydney....trying to get through work without having a complete meltdown but at this point we both know that this is real and that I will be moving to Sydney in 2 years or less to close the gap......best to you and yours.
