    Voltage Converters?

Hello all . Hubby and I are traveling to Japan in 3 months and I was wondering about voltage converters. Some people are saying you need one, some are saying you don't...the only electronics we're taking are our phones and laptop. Phone chargers are two prong, laptop is 3. Probably our kindles as well, which have 2 prong chargers.

    Thanks!

From what I read, for phones and cameras you do not, but you potentially take a risk with blow dryers, straighteners.

I saw those, that's where I was like "oh guess not" but then I kept reading comments from people online about needing one...I guess what I'll do is just take one...in case xD. Can't go wrong there, I suppose. Thanks!

I live in Japan. You don't need converters for phones and laptops. The voltage is almost the same (100V here) and outlets are the same shape in Japan as the US. Most if not all hotels have hair dryers in the rooms or you can borrow them no need to lug one with you.
