Moving back home after moving closer to my SO

So this January I moved to mid-east Texas, originally I'm from California. I moved to Texas to go to school, but now I've received bad news from back home about my dads health and I have decided to move back home to California. I know my SO doesn't mind and he's fully supporting my move back home to help my parents, but I know he is worried deep down about when we will be able to see each other. I just visited him for the first time in the beginning of April and it was cheap to fly from Texas to Alabama, but now it'll be all the way from California to Alabama again. With everything going on its hard to even think of visiting him, but it's still in the back of my mind. I'm prone to overthinking just about everything, has this happened to anyone else? Our relationship is strong and wonderful...I'm just worried I guess. Hoping my SO and I aren't the only ones that have had this happen.
