It has now been one week since my boyfriend returned from China. Of course I'm so happy that he's back. Silly because we are still far away. BUT at least it's not a crazy 13 hour difference anymore. I'll stick to my 7 hours thank you very much.
Anywho, so last wednesday I get home from work and it's almost 9 pm when my bf messages me =). It's 4 am where he is so of course he is going to sleeping. Nonetheless I was so happy to hear from him at my hour since I spend the last half of my day without speaking to him. We ending up video chatting, and it was soooo great to see his face and hear his voice again.

He begins to tell me everything about his trip. The food he ate, the places he went to, and the people he met.
Let's start with the food shall we; The first couple days he'd send me messages complaining about the food. Either it didn't have flavor or it just tasted badly. But according to him it got better, probably because he was going to different places to eat....and to McDonald's..
He was a bit weirded out when a restaurant had turtles, frogs, and other little critters on display, because they were on the menu.
Guess Italians aren't used to that type of cuisine.

The places he visited looked interesting to me. He visited the city center as well as more traditional and cultural parts of the land. I think he was liking it a lot. He stayed in Guanzhou (sorry if I misspelled it), Hong Kong, then Shanghai.
I think he liked Hong Kong the most. A lot of english speakers and people of different ethnicities, and he almost made sure to not fail to mention all of the models walking around in the city.............
As if I wanted to know that piece of information
Which brings me the people he met.

Ok. So. This was my least favorite part of his story-telling. Here we go...
One of the first things he tells me is his little walks down the streets in city. Now, I get it, if you're way over 6 feet tall you will most likely stand out of the general population. Not to brag or sound full of myself, but my bf is not a bad-looking guy. Normally, I'm not attracted to guys that look that good, mostly because they're jerks, from my personal experience. But he is a great exception. Back to the story.
He's walking down the streets with his Italian school group. Apparently, all the girls stopped to stare at him and his friends and snapped photos like the freakin papparazzi. Some of the girls even insisted on taking photos WITH him. "It was like I was famous" as he explained it.
So that's how it was wherever he walked.
He was offered a huge amount of money in a club to hang out with this one man's lady friend. yea.
He was dancing, this man at a table calls him over and starts buying him and his friends drinks. Then takes out a wad of cash, hands it to him with my bf all confused, and says to "spend some time" with one of the women that was at his table. The good guy my guy is immediately threw the money back to him and walked away. (thankfully) And then there's other stories of little 14 year old-looking chicks wanting to dance with him and following him.

So the entire time I was quiet. The quietest I ever am when we speak.
He finally finishes and asks if I had any questions for him. And I said no, I wasn't in the mood. But to be polite I asked one question but that was about it.

Despite all that, I am glad he had fun and had a new experience. It's always fun to learn and experience a different culture.

But thank goodness that will be his last university trip. The next time he travels to another country will be with me ahahah
