Yes, you read that right! ID Quest. But first I must start from the beginning. (Oh man I already have no idea how to make this big of a post and have it make sense BUT I WILL TRY)

So Tam visited! I still haven't visited her cause I can't because of the ID stuff. The occasion this time was my birthday! (And also cause Christmas was most certainly not doable, which is the same reason my sister is coming down next week!)
This was the first time we dealt with visits while I have class. It's not the last one either, cause I have classes till Fall if I understand the schedule correctly, and I'll surely have clinic for longer. Visiting during class wasn't as weird as I thought it'd be! It was actually nice because Tam gets along with my parents so very well, and it was proven moreso by the fun things they'd do while I was in class! Oftentimes I'd come home and hear about somewhere cool they went or an errand they ran and whatever interesting things they discussed (Often about me, but for once in a way that I don't hate).
I just love how well everyone gets along, and how Tam just kinda fits right into the family! I'll also forever appreciate that there won't be a lot of underlying drama like there was when my sister's fiance lived here. I think mom and dad'll just forever appreciate that Tam is a clean freak, and doesn't judge us for how gross our house gets when she visits. We do try, but mom and dad get tired very fast, and I get overwhelmed easily, and kinda suck at cleaning because mom would nag at me to do it, and then I'd try my best and get told how I did it wrong. AND THEN NOT SHOWN HOW TO DO IT BETTER, JUST NAGGED AT. So I stopped caring altogether except laundry. I learned all my new cleaning stuff from Tam and Pinterest. I do actually wanna try it all at some point, but that was gonna be this weekend and I'm too crampy. Ah well, c'est la vie.
I still need to clean my room, visits wreck it, for it is way too tiny for two adults. This house was originally for parents and two children lol. I actually think my room used to be a nursery.

Dad was even telling us during the visit that when we move in together, him and mom might go for a smaller house. This one's great for when we're all here, but it's too big for just mom and dad, and my sister's room is already enough of a guest room without having mine get emptied.

POST-VISIT UPDATE

ANYWAY! We went to most of the places we wanted to this visit, and we definitely didn't have time to do EVERYTHING in just two weeks, but we made the best of it. We also finally got to go to Build A Bear and make each other some sleeping/cuddle buddies so the distance sucks less. I am 25 years old and I got a Pikachu. (Hah, seems like not too long ago I posted about getting a Sailor Moon plush for my 24th...) They had a Valentine's Day dog and Tam wanted that, so I made it for her. They both have really stupid names, as Tam named mine Pikacute, and I used her love of stupid nonexistant made-up words, and named hers Stambo.

Me and Pikacute. This was taken when she was on the plane, hence my face looking like actual poop.

I wanna interrupt for a few to picspam again, because I need help remembering what we did during the visit because of HOW MUCH is going on right now, heh.

This was when we picked Tam up from the airport. She thought she was gross from flying all day, but I have to try ridiculously hard to look this good when clean!

Our friends wanted to know if we were together after she landed, and we love making stupid faces at them, so we sent this

There we are, Miss America and Canada. There we are, looking dumb

We went to the mall, and saw our favorite guy at The Body Shop! He sold Tam some foundation that's been helping with those off days, and I wanted some stuff too! Winter is wrecking my skin. We happened to come during a sale with buy 3 get 2 free, so we got lots of stuff! I mostly got skincare stuff, and Tam got a neutral eyeshadow pallet and some mascara and stuff. After that we went to get Boba Tea (pictured above), checked out all the other stores, and then before leaving I noticed they had opened a Chipotle in the mall! There's one literally down the street, but I can't complain! Tam had never had Chipotle before, and so this was her first time, so of course I had to snap a pic!

We also went to Guitar Center again. I also played with an electric drum kit this time, but stopped after like a minute cause after watching her do it, I realized all I was doing was embarrassing myself

I took this one when we went to Target and Best Buy and At Home. We love furniture shopping, even if we don't live together yet. We tend to agree on things, which makes it way easier too! This was also the day after my birthday. Looks like I took NO PICTURES ON IT WHOOPS, I had class anyway, and we ate Italian food for lunch, but ANYWAY BACK TO THIS PIC. I snapped this pic literally because we walked by a mirror and I saw how cool we looked right then.

I. LOVE. This pic of Tam. Easily a favorite. It's not really an occasion to take someone's picture at a Wendy's while getting lunch, but I don't need an excuse to post this one besides how much I like it.

Here's a pic of some birthday gifts I had gotten, and forgotten to take a picture of until later. Tam and Dad picked the flowers out for me The sugar scrub and chocolate bar were from my classmate!

I also have like 800 pics of my cats trying to steal Tam away from me! She's been accepted as one of their humans. (OK my cat actually flat out likes her more than me...)

We also went to my dad's work, tried many restaurants, hit up Nob Hill (A fun area of the city), and then spent two days being productive!

AND A DATE AT JAPANESE KITCHEN It was my belated birthday dinner, and we were sitting with someone else who was having a birthday too

Final airport selfie.

ID QUEST

So when Tam and I went to Nob Hill, we were approached by homeless people. It happens when you're anywhere on Central around here, you just deal with it. The first one was selling roses for a few bucks so Tam bought me one, which was adorable, and then we were on our merry way before meeting the second one.
I don't remember his name, unfortunately, but I could kiss him right now!
He walked up and told us his story, and was glad we weren't running away already (I'll give everyone a few to tell their thing, I don't get judging homeless people, because everyone is one tragedy away from being them). While telling his story he started pulling out things to prove it was real. Stuff about trying to get a burial plot for his son who was shot to death, stuff about being a veteran and waiting for his disability to start, and an ID card proving he lived in a hotel.
Then it hit me

ID QUEST MOVED TO NEXT POST CAUSE THIS ONE'S APPARENTLY TOO LONG

PRODUCTIVITY!!!

So, we did all that, and have the rest to do, and I have class on top of this! I need to do some massage trades and my gatekeeper test so I can get into the clinic. I also have to clean my room and prepare as my sister and niece are visiting for their birthdays! (Both will have passed, but they come here the day after my sister's birthday, so yeah)
I'm making Tam research Visa things, because I already have a bit because of this site, and now I want her to. She's so much better at just cracking down and getting things done, and once I have all my stuff we can think about that. And I also will DEFINITELY visit up there the second it becomes possible and convenient. Right now we're thinking another long one like when she first came up here, but I doubt that's possible because of class and me having a nonexistant budget. We'll see.

This also made the age-old debate come back of WHERE WOULD WE GO? We thought possibly here, but I haven't actually been there yet, and Tam's dad actually works for the government and can make the process easier on us if I go there, but I can't tolerate the cold and am pathetic and don't like being too far from my family. We'll have to figure all this out eventually.

BEING 25

Jeez I'm 25! I joined here when I was 23! It's been a year since my last birthday blog, and it's been a year since my niece Orianna was born! (Remember that post? Haha)
So far being 25 is amazing! The golden year is real, man.
Everything is starting to get on track again, and this LDR doesn't have to stagnate and make me feel bad for "roping Tam into it"

Sis and Ori are gonna visit soon to keep me busy as well, and some friends who visited last year (Surely I posted about them? The family friends with the kids and the wife is a cancer survivor) are actually moving down here (YES!) so we're gonna hang out a ton while they move in and get them accustomed to it here, and also probably help them move and settle in (I'll probably play with the kids while the parents move stuff, I'm atrocious at moving furniture ><)

I'll have to keep you guys posted! And also since people here do social media (And a few of you tried to add me on facebook but I accidentally said no to all the friend requests whoops!) you can send another, or you can follow my instagram, which is less whiny and much more aesthetically pleasing and still has many many updates on it. my instagram is kaydwessie.

Sorry this blog was so long! I'll try to be easier on you guys next time!
