Hello, first of all. There's a lot of amazing stories on here. I am truly happy to have found this support forum.
My name is Stephen. I first met my Holleigh while growing up in rural Mississippi. She often tried going out with me, but I was young and dumb, so to speak. Anyway, to make a long story short, I moved to Illinois, got married, had two children, then later divorced in Feb. this year. She did almost the same, three children, divorced in March this year. I know, ironic, huh? We have been friends on facebook for sometime now. I noticed that she had changed her profile picture. She had breast cancer and changed her photo with one that showed her with no hair. I don’t know really what made me send her a message, but I said text or call me sometime when you have time. I really didn’t think that she would, but I am glad she did. The very next night, she texted me, “Hey, this is Holleigh, how r u?” I replied, “Fine, how are you doin?” she texted back, “Good, When are u comin home?” Well, I have to say, that’s all it took to get me hooked. We shared our stories back and forth, started talking more and more, then decided to meet. We fell in love with each other before we even saw or touched each other. I wouldn’t change that for the world. We got to know each other intimately before all the other stuff. After about two weeks of that, we decided to go ahead and meet up to see what we had was really all of what we were feeling. We planned a 4 day, 3 night cabin stay on a lake. The first time we saw each other, we were so nervous we were shakin something terrible. It didn’t take long before I was holding her in my arms. Needless to say, the meeting went great and we couldn’t be happier. There are so many things to work out, like the 700 miles, kids, jobs, homes, etc. I don’t know where to start. I am confident it will all work out and am so happy I found this site to get encouragement and guidance.
