Our story started at the beginning of my exchange year in the U.S.
We were in the same Biology class. From the first day on I noticed this cute boy with the wild, curly hair and soon he came up to me and asked me to be his lab partner. Of course I said yes, since I was new and didn't knwo anybody I thought that was really nice of him. So, we started talking everyday in 2nd period. After 1 week or so, he noticed my German dictionary and asked what that is. I told him I was an exchange student and he was like "Oh really? I thought you only were new and moved here. That makes you even more interesting." Yeah, and from that moment he had even more questions about me.
I felt how I slwoly fell in love with him. But I wasn't sure if he felt the same. Everyday I was excited to see him in Biology class and everyday he said "Good Morning" with his huge smile on the lips. And everyday the butterflies in my belly grew bigger.
Up to the day that I saw him in the hallway. Holding hands with another girls. I couldn't believe my eyes and I felt like crying. But I was strong and pretended like I haven't seen it. The same night I found him on facebook by chance (only a few days before he didn't have a facebook). I took all of my courage and sent him a message, only saying Hey and asking for the biology homework.
It became a daily habit to check my facebook constantly and everytime he answered my heart jumped. He asked many things, made compliments and was all sweet. But the thing with that girl still bothered me. So I asked him about it. And he told me their story: They relationship was an on-and-off-thing, he couldn't stand her anymore but she was crazy and obsessed with him, therefore he couldn't get out of the relationship. Plus she was a little abusive and agressive.
First I thought he lied to me...But then he suddenly asked me out for the homecoming dance, only a few days later. I said yes, of course. But I also asked about his girlfriend and he told me that he finally broke up with her. I couldn't believe my ears, because it sounded like he only broke up with her because of me. And there they were again: my butterflies in my stomach, exploding and flying around.....
But like I said, his (now ex) girlfriend was an obsessive crazy one and only a few days later she tried to attack me, he fortunately went between her and me and told me to go away. She got suspended for two weeks, because the school's camera filmed her attack. The shock still was deep in my bones and I was thinking. "OMG what did you get yourself into?"
But then it was time for the Homecoming Dance, the night was perfect, he bought me flowers, took me to this wonderful place for dinner and made this night unforgettable. I was never happier....When he brought me home he didn't try to kiss me, which I thought was great, since it was our first date. But then, at the following weekend we went to the movies with some friends, and after bringing me home, I got a "good night kiss"...Our first kiss. Typically american-high-school-movie-like (That's what a german girl dreams about haha). Well, and the next day he brought roses to school with a poem he write for me, asking me to be his girlfriend.
That was October 29th in 2009.
From that happy day on our relationship grew deeper and deeper, after 6 months, we said our first "I love you"'s (we took out time for everything and I loved it)...he is the perfect boyfriend, always did everything I wanted to do, made my "american dreams" come true, took me to exciting places and made me have my best year ever.
He told me that he was interested in me since the first day I walked into Biology class and he was so happy that I made the first step to talk to him and write in facebook etc. I was so happy. Always.
But then there was the day I had to leave. We knew that we would stay together, no matter what and after 9 happy months the day was there. Many tears were cried and promises made.
And now, on October 30th in 2010 I can happily say: We are a couple for 1 year and 1 day now or 366 days Last time I saw him was a week ago and next time he will come to Germany in in 48 days.
Oh and our plans for the future:
Winter 2010 - He comes to Germany over Christmas for 3 weeks
SUmmer 2011 - I go over for 6 weeks during summer break
College, for both of us, till 2016
2017 - I want to move to Boston with him (he now lives in Seattle)....
I'm not looking forward to the many years of LDR but I am excited for the times we will see each other.
I love him so much, he is my soulmate and my bestfriend and I will do everything to keep this perfect man <3
That's my story <3
I hope you liked it (I also shortened it a looooooooot and sorry for the spelling mistakes, I'm writing to fast all the time )
