    1 week too short

Hello everyone. I'm just here to tell a bit about my relationship and the week long visit my SO and I had, which was friggin wonderful! My name is Samantha and I'm 19 years of age, I live in Virginia. My boyfriend is Kalen, he is 18 years of age and lives in Florida. On November 21st around 1 pm he arrived in VA for our week. We spent thanksgiving together and cooked an amazing dinner together on Thursday! We went on many adventures but had a great time. On Monday he went to my classes with me (I'm in college at ODU) and after classes we attempted to take the bus out to dinner for our 10 month anniversary. FAIL! We then found out the bus never stops where we want to get off so we took a bit of a walk until we found the restaurant; the food was great and it was our first official date. Tuesday we attempted to take the bus to Walmart to get things for thanksgiving dinner. Another huge FAIL! The bus failed us again, and this time, the walk wasn't so short. 4.8 miles!! We both agreed we would never have made that walk if we weren't with each other. Wednesday, we went to the zoo We had so much fun, the animals were very entertaining that day. lol We were near the lion's exhibit and next thing I know, the lion was right underneath of us roaring, I jumped back a few feet and screamed and Kalen immediately wrapped his arms around me. I did not expect the lion to be that close! Thursday, we cooked a wonderful dinner (by ourselves!!). Our parents kept calling us trying to tell us how to cook everything; thanks guys, but I think we can handle cooking. Friday, we relaxed and had fun together, we went to the grocery store to buy ingredients for Beef Stew and my man can cook! Saturday, we did the same, we relaxed, ate, and had fun! but Saturday night, the tears started coming. I knew he was leaving the next day and so did he, he knew immediately what was wrong. We even tried to plan for him to stay but we both knew it was best for him to go home and get things together before staying up here. Besides the sad part of leaving, it was a great time for both of us and I wouldn't change it for the world! The only down of the visit is, he lost his "Love Knows no Distance" bracelet while he was here, I have searched high and low for that thing! Oh well, I cannot wait to see him again! It was definitely worth the wait and I don't mind waiting on us at all.

        Welcome!
Thanks for sharing the story, it's nothing like getting lost or having to walk long distances to create great memories together, especially when you laugh about it later
