It is another 6 months until my SO's birthday, but I got this great idea what I could give him and I won't be able to fix it during spring term since my marticulations will take up all my time (and after that applying for a job over the summer), so I would be grateful for some tips. Also, I don't know exactly where to get everything I need... 
What I was thinking was to buy a couple mirrors and, since I'm rather artistic, figure out which is his favourite photo of us together and paint my picture on one of them and his on the others, so making a couple. Thing is, even though I have painted, I have never painted on glass before and I have no idea how to make the paintings last. So, if anyone could give me any advice, I would be most thankful
