I really wanted to send Austin a little something for when he goes to Basic Training, but I didn't know what! I decided against scrapbooks, because I already have 7 of them and I figured that was enough. I wanted to do something with pictures and captions, but I didn't just want to send them in an envelope. Then I finally decided on a really cute idea!
I've been going around my town/borough (it's uber small) and have been taking pictures of buildings and stores and such. I, then, drew a map of my town and wrote down numbers to signify the buildings by their locations. I developed the pictures, wrote the numbers on the back of them to match the ones on the map, and put them with the map. He has to align the buildings to their locations by following the numbers. The last picture is a picture of me in an army sweatshirt with the caption, "I'll always be waiting for you to come home".
I'm hoping he'll like it. And if he doesn't, well, he doesn't really have many other options :P
