Because the bus was so packed you had to squeeze in! If any of you have been to London and been on a busy bus, or im assuming New York is like that. Well thats how these buses were, so we couldnt get to the pay machine, so was just a free ride... hot pressed up against strangers.... blegh was horrible. And Rome in August was so HOT!! I was sweating the whole day, and if you stopped sweating it was because you were dehidrated. We needed a drink every 20-30 minutes it seemed. Thats how we spent most of our money, on drinks.
We did mostly walking though. One day we went to the vatican, in the hot hot heat, waiting in line to go into the church. When we got there they wouldn't let me in... Because I was in tank top, you have to have your shoulders covered and bottoms below your knees. So we didn't get in that day, so we went to the sistene chapel, which turned out to be great because he gave us both student discounts. Only Nathan was supossed to, but he winked and gave me the discount too. So maybe it was a good thing we didn't get in.
Oh and its worth going to Italy for sure for there rissoto, pizza, Ice cream, and pasta! yum yum yum!!

Anyways on the way back... Border patrol..... Well I was prepared, I had a letter from Nathans mom saying im staying with them, a letter from my grandma stating im covered finnancially, my return ticket all that. But the big stopping me was... dun dun duhh my engagment ring lol Which I should have known. She stopped and asked me what my plans when I go home is, and I told her I don't know yet.Just go home and be home. Because right now Nathans in resses or umm, he failed part of his course so he's retaking it, and he cant come see me till december the earliest, but if he fails again thats another few months, so honestly I don't know what our plans are. And she said she doesnt buy that for a minute. Were engaged and have no plans? So I told her well we want to get married in 2-3 years but nothings been planned yet. I mean come on, im 20 and at the moment unemployed, and Nathans still finishing up college. Not everyone has there life all planned out. So she said I had to sit and wait because she had more questions to ask me. Luckily Nathan was near by, in the other line, when he got up to his border he then went to the head person in charge for the station that day and asked if he could wait with me, explained my situation, that im staying till october and all the same repeat questions. So he got to sit with me and when the lady came back Nathan came with me. My hero! He fixed everything. Really is funny as soon as his mom or he's there its easy. And the Lady said next time that he should just come with me in the non eu passport line in the future. So yay I got threw! But now im scared for when we have to do all this again in October when we go to paris again! I have stamps in my passport twice that shows I was stopped at border patrol!
But luckily im back in Scotland, still havent got a chance to view the college, need to do that. Maybe i'll be coming back to go to culinary, but nothings been planned out officially yet. Will be doing this in september. Why is it so hard to close the distance? But overall having an amazing time, still truly love it here. I am loving the cold weather haha. Especially after the hot heat in Rome. But things are great, waiting now for Nathan to come back with eggs so I can make us breakfast

Here in CR buses are always packed. But you have to actually pay the driver so there's no way to get a free ride. Well unless you hang on to the side or the back of the bus. Which happens on occasion
