I think I'm on Cloud 9 at the moment. I'll freak out later, hah.

Last week Hattie and I talked about the possibility of me visiting in either late January or early/mid February. We later on confirmed February. Yesterday he had a day off so we talked a bit more about my coming and what we'd do, just menial thinking. I was waiting for him to try and set a date since it's riding on HIS work schedule, but it seemed he was holding off. Last night before bed I calculated the dates because I wanted it to be early February, but I also wanted it to cover Valentine's Day as I remember from years past when he was single how upset/depressed he'd get on that day. I came up with me arriving on the 8th, hopefully morning, and leaving on the 15th. It's a whole week and snags in Valentine's Day.

This afternoon I ran it by him to see if the dates were OK and he said he liked them. So it's all official, I'll be seeing him in February. My mom's not too happy and used the excuse of me missing Mardi Gras (we never miss it or any of the parades the two weeks before it) for me not going but I checked and I won't miss a thing. I'll have to ask some advice of my Aunt and Uncle who travel every year the protocol for our airport and other things (the rest I'll get from the travel section here, you guys are such dolls!) but I'm going to be prepared early. If I can get some materials I may even make him a red rose for Valentine's Day, just 'cuz.

I'm so happy we have a date set at last and I know he is, too. It'll help us both through the remainder of his rough work schedule.
