I understand the "my house my rules" thing. I live with my mom too so I have to ask permission for some things or at least get her on the same page with me, but all the same you don't have to act like you're 13 still and asking to go to the mall or sleep over at a friend's house. But only you know your parents so only you can gauge just HOW to go about asking or flat out saying you want to do something.

Your mom's reaction about the BC, though, makes me think she doesn't have it quite in her head that you're not a kid anymore and thus can and do think about things such as sex. Look into Planned Parenthood, I believe they supply birth control and condoms as well as other stuff. Never treat Plan B as Plan A, though, take it from me. I have known too many girls who have done that and end up with kids anyway. Just as a precaution get some condoms and keep them somewhere nearby as you can never be sure you're ready until you're in that situation. I know I didn't think it was going to happen and I just thank God I had planned ahead with the birth control.

But really, it's not like your SOLE purpose for seeing him is sex. If you wanted sex only you could just go to a bar or a club or even Walmart. You want to spend time with him, be able to hug and kiss and hold his hand and all that awesome small stuff. So I guess just try to get her to see that's your goal, but that you don't want to take chances?

i think it is definitely a cultural thing. Latino parents are crazy overprotective. lol but either way, you're going to have to talk to them, so your going to have to just talk to them. either that or lie to them about what exactly you will be doing I just know, whenever I lie to my mom she will somehow always find out, so I just find it easier to tell them. You just have to convince them its a meaningful relationship and that where your BF should come in, he should just ask them for permission for you to stay with him and his family, and explain how he respects you, and his family, not to try anything (sex) with you. jaja.

Anyways yea i strted looking into the parent planhood place and I was thinking of going there maybe next month so I can just have myself ready for anything that might happen.
