The "L" word...and its meanings around the world!

So being that im bilingual the word love has two meanings! Love in english is a word that says how much I care for you, respect you, will be there for you and all those things that are sweet and sour. Problem is that when I translate it to spanish-which would be AMOR- it seems to have a stronger meaning. I usually talk to my SO in spanglish and I have not told him "te amo" I've said I love you, and he's done the same. I feel that the word love has lost its meaning. Nowadays I hear so many people throw it around..I LOVE YOU BESSTIII!!!!!!! or I LOVE YOU BOB!!! but theres no real meaning to it. Its a word that has lost its value in this economy. Yet the word AMOR hasnt lost its value to me...I feel its too strong of a word so I usually say Te Quiero..which would be the equivalent to, i like you.
But its not because to me its the equivalent to I love you.

Problem is that I cant find the equivalent to Amor...is there in the englih language a word thats stronger than love?
Maybe but I doubt it.
I guess my point is that....i dont know.But tell me...what do you think? Has the word LOVE lost its meaning?
Are you bilingual, trilingual or just mulitlingual?
Have you encountered a similar situation?

........................and I found this youtube video...except its in spanish XD but for those who know spanish..enjoy! oh and for those who dont know spanish...the dudes tlking bout the same thing as me...love has lost meaning and should be taken more seriously.

  I'm bilingual in Chinese, and my SO and I communicate using that. Chinese does only have two words: for I like you, and I love you, but the Chinese(I'm Chinese, but basically American in mannerisms) are far more reserved on saying any of it. He only has said "I like you" twice, both in highly emotionally charged situations. His opinion on saying "I love you" is only if he ends up proposing to me. I'm a bit more open on dispensing the I like yous, and of course, haven't gotten to I love you either.

  I think "i love you" has lost meaning to a certain extent. I think now it depends on HOW you deliver the I love you, and I think it mostly has to do with mannerisms, body language, or the previous text because there is only one word to describe love. I LOOOOVE SPANISH because as my SO explained it culturally to me...Te quiero is the i love you for friends and anyone close to you, te adoro is like I like you a little more than normal... and te amo is like the ultimate/max you can love someone....HOWEVER, when he and I speak, I definitely melt MORE when he says "I love you so much" because I feel like its a bit beyond his language, and a lot more meaningful, and deep. I also use "I love you" when I need something deeper than te amo. lol I dunno. But here in the US I throw around I love you like nobodys business. :-P But I usually say "I heart you" but to my close friends I will say I love you and family too

  hahahaha yea i used to throw the word I LOVE YOU around to just about anyone! but afterwards i just didnt use it anymore, and so I would use te quiero mucho (tqm) and i rarely use te adoro unless im tlking to my SO but even then we settle down with I love you and te quiero mucho, we give it our own meaning to it.
  
  and yea I've heard about some countries or in some cultures where ppl are a lot more reserved about saying I like you or I love you. I tihnk thats good but at the same time there has to be a balance. My SO once sent me a txt saying I love you in Japanese but when I tried to figure out its meaning I kept getting back replies of ppl who said that it couldnt be truly defined since in Japanese there really isnt a word to say I love you. Still i thought of it as a nice thing, since we werent even dating yet, jajaja
