So im extremely hyped..why? Well i really want to study abroad, my only option is going to Mexico...because my parents lived there, i've visited Mexico..(loved Puebla and its surroundings..like Atlixco, Acatlan, Izucar de Matamoros, HUEJOTZINGO (thats where my SO is at lol) and ofcourse DF!) So like i was saying if i can get the money and the things sorted out my parents would be more willing to let me go to Mexico.
PROBLEM: My SO's brother goes to the college that i want to study at and since my SO is also in college I think he's in the same one...i dont recall. IDK why..I just remember that my SO's bro goes to that school lol
Anyways if I were to go to that school my parents and rest of the family would think that im doing it because I want to be near my SO. In a way that would be a bonus...also my BFF wants to join me so I wouldnt be alone and what not. I haven't been able to run this by my SO but i bet he'd be happy. We would be closing the distance, even if for a year or for a semester...but it would give us the chance to get to know each other a lot more.
Still im not sure what its like to study in Mex...do they receive financial aid like we do here? >> Im confused...so i started emailing and what not anyways...anyone out there who could offer me tips and what not?
Im very excited...and I shouldnt be...in case it all fails

I studied in Mexico for a year to be with my boyfriend. I lived in Mexicali, a city on the border to California.
For me it was kind of easy, because my university and his university have like a deal or something, so that students could come to my university and students from here can go to Mexicali.
Also we get financial aid from the university and from scholarships to go abroad.
A friend of mine also was in Puebla.
I think from the cost it depends if its a private school or a public school.
Sorry I don't have any more tips.
Do you speak Spanish? Where are you from? Has your school exchange-plans with universities in Mexico?
