Okay. My darling SO & I have been discussing honeymoon ideas. I kind of want to take a "once in a lifetime" trip (that's not $$$) and go somewhere we wouldn't possibly go otherwise. We had been talking about Ireland, but I know we definitely want to go there, so I'd rather go when we can spend more time exploring (and have more $$ saved up for that trip). I'm not against Ireland - I do think it would be a fun trip.

We have also discussed the possibility of a cruise. To where? No idea. The bright side is we wouldn't run out of things to do, I know that, and we wouldn't have to "worry" about finding the next place for dinner/getting ourselves to various locations. The downside, I know that there will be a ton of other people there.

Now, I recently came up with another idea. Belize. We don't want to have a ton of "downtime" (aka he would get super bored and pester me if we were to lay on a beach for more than half a day), so we'd probably stay more inland and do guided tours/hikes/horseback riding (although that one I know we should only do like, one half day of... )

So. To my friends in central America/with more travel experience than me... have you ever been? Are there places I should avoid like the plague? Are there places I must must must go see? Would it be a good time of year to even consider going to Belize? (we would be honeymooning at the end of October/beginning of November)
