Invitations: Designed and approved, I just need to order them. I want to order them now, but I'm afraid that they'll get here when I'm gone this weekend. So I'll wait until I get back to put in the order.
Ceremony: check. We have to go through and figure out the rest of the music we want, but that's NBD. I have to purchase an aisle runner and decide if I want any other decorations. His sister needs to decide on what she will be reading, because that needs to be approved by the church.
Rings: I ordered his band last week when I was there (and saved $50!) and he just ordered mine yesterday! They quoted him a price last weekend, and it actually ended up being less than the quoted price. I think he saved over $100 on it.
Attire: My dress is safely in one of my closets. I think I have found a place to get the alterations done when the time comes for those. I need to see if I can figure out how to make a veil, I don't want to spend over $100 on something I'll only wear for the ceremony & pictures.
He's wearing his tuxedo (yaaaaay) and needs to buy a new shirt. I think his mom is making him a vest and tie, so that will be nice. I'm going to buy him cuff links for a wedding present - custom QR code cuff links. I'm going to write him a sappy letter and embed it into the code so he can read it that morning.
Pictures: Nix finally sent them the contract, and so they went and deposited the check. Sigh. It's a good thing they're friends of his family... haha. They're completely awesome, though, so I'm really excited to be working with them.
Reception:
Food: No updates there. We haven't made the final menu selections yet. We should probably do that.
Decorations: I need to confirm the layout of the tables with the venue, and purchase the paper lanterns & lights. I'm also looking into getting small table easels and card stock for the cocktail height tables. I need to figure out what the heck I'm doing on the seated tables, still.
Music: DJ's booked. We may have selected our first dance song. Maybe.
Cake: That's all done. I just need to make another payment on it in July.
Wedding night hotel: Booked. He actually picked the hotel - it's a swanky 4 star place where you have to be 21+ to check in. I'm a only little excited about it.
Honeymoon: Booked - WDW! We talked on Friday about where we want to eat and figured out a generic schedule for our trip. So we know Monday will be Animal Kingdom; Tuesday, EPCOT; Wednesday MGM/Hollywood Studios; Thursday, Magic Kingdom; Friday & Saturday will be Harry Potter World; Sunday morning at EPCOT and then a relaxing afternoon at Downtown Disney; Monday, another full day at MK. We figured out places to eat, so I can make those reservations as soon as I am allowed (180 days before the date).
I feel like I'm excluding something from this update, but I can't think of anything else.
The cuff links sound nice! I've never heard of them :O
