DIY problems: aka I want to make myself another skirt but I'm not sure how I'll look in the skirt I kind of want to make.

And I don't know if I really want to make myself another skirt. But I kind of want to. But I kind of don't. The struggle....

Anyway, I'll do an update on life later (next week, probably, after Nix's grandparents leave). But our anniversary is coming up (what?!) and a photographer friend agreed to exchange my help on a wedding for anniversary photos! Woo!

So naturally, I've started thinking about what the heck to wear. Which leads me to my DIY problem. I want to wear a skirt. I want to make the skirt, because I like making myself skirts, and because I don't want to go buy a skirt. Bleh. Trying on clothes is the worst. Anywaaay... I've been looking and I think I want to make a tulle skirt like this:

But, then I start thinking about it, like, really thinking about it, and I'm not sure that's what I want. I mean, I don't know if it will be flattering on me (I carry most of my weight in my butt & thighs.) or if it will make my bottom half look just... bad.

So, if I don't go with the tulle skirt, I have no idea what I want to wear. Well, okay, that's not true. I want to wear a sweater (I have a really fantastic bright green sweater that would be perfect for these pictures), a skirt, flats, and a cute scarf. I think I want to do either a chevron or polka dot scarf, and a simple solid color skirt. And glittery/shiny flats.

So, what do you think? Yes or no to the tulle skirt? If no, then what kind of skirt should I make? Ideas for colors? Or should I find something completely different to wear? I'm a little useless right now, lol.
