Crap, we are no where near ready to move. We have barely packed any boxes. On the bright side, we have rented a moving van, put a deposit on an apartment, and are still getting rid of things we don't want/need anymore. It's a little disheartening, but at the same time, freeing. Disheartening because I feel like we will always and forever have too much junk. And then there's always the, "but do we really need this?" or maybe we still want it? No, we haven't used it in a few months... but we've used it in the last 6-8 months. No, I haven't worn this shirt in almost a year, but I wore it all the time when I was at my last job. And these pants. Hm... do they still fit? Crap, they're a little tight. Well! I guess I'll just have to lose weight! And on and on and on it goes...

We're both wrapping up our current jobs. From what I can tell, Nix is looking forward to being done with his retail job. He's been with the company for almost 4 years, but hasn't gone "up" hardly at all. He's frustrated with it, and I'm frustrated for him. He's sticking with the other job... for now. He was able to get a transfer to his old store near where we will be living. But! He has a weekend-long interview with a church April 11&12. Aaaaaaaaaaand another church (one that he has applied to before and they weren't interested) emailed him this past week and asked if he's available for a phone interview! Of course they want to talk to him the week of the 30th... which is also the week we are moving. Sigh. So, I suggested he tell them that he's not available the 31st or the 1st, but the other days he should be okay. The 31st we will be packing up the moving truck, and the 1st we will spend the whole day driving. We're planning on getting the keys to our new place on the 2nd.

Speaking of our new place.... it's HUGE. 1300 sq ft! 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths. It has some pretty outdated features, but since we're thinking about starting to house hunt in earnest towards the end of this year, it's not a huge deal to us. omg house hunting. I am really excited about the idea of owning a house with Nix. I'm probably in crazy first-time home buyer dream land, but I'm totally okay with doing some renovations to our first home. I know some of the stuff will be beyond my knowledge, but, I can grout tile and pull down wall paper and stuff. Okay, so, I can really just do cosmetic work, but, that's okay. I know our first home won't be our forever home, but I'd like to spend at least 5-10 years there. And then, you know. We could get a dog. Squee!!

Okay, so, I'm actually at work so I should probably go and be useful.
