After the mayor's office, we ran home because I had forgotten to put champagne in the fridge. My SO insisted on carrying me through the doorway which was cute. Then we went to the national park and took a bunch of pictures. I could've taken about 200 more but I guess nobody else cared, so our daughter changed out of her fancy clothes and played for awhile on the swings and climbing things while we hung out with our witnesses.

Then we went to the American cafe for lunch. I had a strawberry milkshake (yum!) and a cheeseburger. My SO had chicken wings, fries, and a beer. And the little one had chicken nuggets, fries, and mango juice. I argued about something on the bill (because I just won't let things slide) and we went back home. Nap-time for everyone!

I finally forced my love out of bed and he ran off to buy meat, skewers, etc while I tried to make our apartment look presentable. Then at around 6:30, a bunch of friends came over and we had a big bbq! It was really relaxed, just about 25 people and a million mosquitos. My SO and I ran to our room for a private moment (not what you're thinking!) where we opened champagne and told each other our vows.

The wedding turned out exactly how we wanted it! I had been against having a big Malian wedding since neither of our immediate families are here and his extended family hasn't been the most supportive of us. And he only cared about the bbq with friends part. So we were super happy with how it turned out- relaxing, private, stress-free, and full of love!
