Went shopping at the second-hand clothing market yesterday and found some great stuff. It's this enormous market with different sections where you can basically find anything-clothes, electronics, food, beauty supplies, jewelry, and so on. I buy all of my daughter's clothes there and some of my clothes. You can find really great quality stuff from Europe and the US.

There are sections where clothes are just in enormous piles and you can sift through them. I usually skip those sections because, while the clothes are only 25-50 cents, they are usually stained or ripped. Then there are the little shops where you can sit down and tell the guys what you want- those are the ones I go to and where I found some great things yesterday.

I sat down in this super crowded shop and told the man that I was looking for long dresses, comfortable pants, and maternity jeans. I wasn't sure they'd have maternity jeans, because that's pretty specific. 5 minutes later he had found me 5-10 maternity jeans and a bunch of comfortable pants to try on. Then for dresses and shirts, they bring out these huge bags and go through them one by one. So you just sit there and watch them hold up clothing and you say, "Yes" or "that one" when you want to try something on and they throw it to you.

I ended up with a massive pile and went behind the curtain to change. It was hot as hell, which makes trying on a bunch of clothes not so fun. But it was worth it.
I bought:
-3 maternity jeans for $4 each (I don't really need these yet, but will in a few week...my jeans are getting tight!). They are stretchy jeans and super comfortable.
-3 elastic-waist/comfortable pants and capris (I think these were $3 each)
-2 long dresses ($3 each)
-2 bras ($1.50 each)
-3 cute empire-waist shirts ($3 each)

Our cleaning lady is going to wash them today and then this afternoon I am going to go through my closet and take out all the stuff that I can no longer wear (or soon won't be able to wear). Going to move that stuff into our storage room and then see what my new clothing will go well with.

Then my SO also got me some clothes yesterday, which he will be picking up from the shop later today or tomorrow. So I'm excited to see what he got me! He has really good taste and has already bought me some beautiful maxi dresses in the past so I'm hoping he had some good finds!

I decided not to look at baby clothes yet at the market yesterday. It was just too hot and I didn't want to stay there any longer. But I'll be going back there in a few weeks to get baby clothes. They have SUCH great kids clothes and they are usually in really good condition since people go through baby clothes so quickly. Plus you can get them for about $1-2 so I am excited to see what I find!
