So for the past few weeks, I've been planning on just using no middle name. But now, the names are feeling so short, I kind of want to add back in a middle name. Here are some of the ideas I'm playing around with and I'd love your thoughts (again!).
Boy
- Idrissa Benjamin (Idrissa is my SO's dad's name, Benjamin is my brother's name)
- Idrissa Charles (Charles is my Dad's name)
- Benjamin Idrissa
- Benjamin Adama (Adama is my SO's brother)
Also, (did I ask this before?) I asked for opinions on Idrissa on another forum and everyone said that it sounds like a girl's name because it ends in an A. If you didn't know, would you have thought it was a girl's name?
Girl
- Amina
- Amina Sarah (is that too many A sounds? My last name ends with an A too) (Sarah, for my mom)
- Amina Noelle
- Amina ______ (Other middle name ideas?)
Thoughts? Opinions? Are you sick of helping me choose a baby name yet?
Here's a cup o' tea for your trouble
Amina Noelle is pretty. Or how about Amina Joy?
Amina is actually my eldest sister's name, dunno if I ever mentioned that? It's an alright name but I'm a bit over it for obvious reasons
I'm not sure I have any good suggestion. I'll leave you with this: My brother-in-law and his fiancée had their baby girl a month ago and when I last visited they still hadn't named her (normal in Finland) and were hesitating between a certain name (which they picked in the end, or so I hear) and Lilia (which her youngest son suggested). Lilia is one of those names that go "both ways", in Africa and in the "West". And I think it's a lovely name
