His flight was delayed leaving here, and he missed his international flight in San Francisco. Now he's stuck in a hotel until he can leave late tonight (around 10:40) on another flight.
I feel so numb.
ETA: Matt was able to contact me. The airline comped him and the other passengers who missed because of their problems with a free room, food, and rescheduled to put them on the flight for tomorrow, for which I'm grateful. At least he's ok.

At least the airline was nice about it though! I missed my connecting flight the last time I flew because the plane in front of us broke down and the air traffic control people made us wait around thirty extra minutes (and the plane also left late to begin with). I had somewhere where I had to be and tried getting Delta to reimburse some of the ticket or something, but they said they could only do that when your plane broke down and air traffic control was out of their control (which annoyed the heck out of me because the broken plane in front of us that caused all of the problems was a Delta plane). So I ended being stranded in the airport for hours and Jared bought me another plane ticket to Orlando because if I took the next flight they could offer me, we would have had to cancel all of our plans.
I empathize for Matt! Hope he has a good trip back!
I really hope we get to see each other soon, too. For us, soon is 5 months, so if we can just catch a break with him getting a job... oh, hope, hope...
