My life - it's chaotic, shall we say? Here's a sampling:

1) The water heater broke at home. It's down to one element or something, but it's on its last leg and HAS to be replaced. Roomie went out and got one, which'll be installed on Monday.

So, no hot showers until Monday night. And it's too cold to take cold ones. Catch my drift? (peeeew, stinky!)

2) I'm sitting at home on Friday, playing some World of Warcraft and giving myself some time to relax... and my computer breaks. I have some familiarity with electronics, and I recognize a shot video card when I see one.

I'm not freaking out about it, but I won't deny that I will miss the money from selling it. I was going to sell one of my computers, and I figured the desktop would be better to sell. Selling my laptop didn't work out, so I had given up on it. Ironic how that ended up working for the best.

Now I just gotta make sure my laptop doesn't crap out...

Super Bowl Sunday, and I'm sitting home alone watching SVU. It's not a bad life, although certainly a remark on it. Having lost most of my friends in the area, and realizing I have few friends who've matured along with life, I find myself relieved that I'll be leaving. The list of people, friends and family, that I talk to enough that I'll miss I can count on one hand. Most of my family is the type that isn't very close, and I've lived on my own since I went to college at 18. I'm 26 now, have lived on my own, been married, lived overseas... I've done it all before, and although I'm sure I'll miss some people and have the occasional home pangs, I don't think I'll have severe culture shock as compared to if I were going to Asia.

I got my tax return on Friday. It felt good to toss that chunk of money into my savings. I need to have $5,000 as part of my requirement for my visa; I now have $4,500. Next paycheck will put me at the minimum.

I just hope selling my car goes well when the time comes in April.

Less than 90 days til I leave. When do I leave? Sometimes at the end of April/beginning of May. I look forward to another update about things I'm doing soon.
