Don't go out as much
Can't have late nights out
SO lets where we live affect his outlook on things

But if I were you I'd stay put. Try to make more of an effort to go out. You say "no late nights", how often do you plan on staying out late when both of you work?

#3snow_girl commentedEditing a commentWe are only 30-45 min away from London it isn't that far but my SO seems to think it is awful. When I say late nights I mean more of on the weekend when we meet up with his friends and by 11 we need to start thinking about getting back.

#4lucybelle commentedEditing a commentI just don't think 30-45 min is that far. I've said before I have a 1.5 hour commute home from my work, not that that changes how you guys feel. I just don't think that's a good enough reason to give up a place you love for a place where you'll have 0 privacy. Plus didn't you say it'd be hard to be able to get a place where you could share a room? This might sound lame, but if you have to leave by 11, go out earlier! Instead of going out at 9pm, go at 7pm, or even 5pm when there's still happy hours. Maybe with the money you save by staying outside of London you two could save up to get a car? That way you could have a quicker commute?
