Ok, so, I just got back from setting up the last couple of checkpoints with mom. I only have one book to go for this to fit together - but it goes in his car, and he took the key with him today >< (Which is rare and annoying lol) so sometime after he falls asleep I'll have to sneak out of the house and place it. Mwahaha. So here it is:

First clue: A car key.

He should recognize this key. The car used to be his, but he gave it to a friend who needed it more than he did. Hopefully he'll remember me telling him yesterday that this friend is working on the weekend, and will drive to his work, not his house.

Second clue: Two photographs.

These photos are both of us from our first visit, both taken by our friend Dee at her flat. There is no other clue. Hopefully he remembers where we are and who took them and he goes there.

Third clue: Geek poem.

This one is imo the hardest by far. Here's the poem:
roses are #FF0000
violets are #0000FF
all my base
are belong to you

"All your base are belong to us" is a popular cheat code for games. He should recognize the reference... hopefully. Then he'll check the local game shops. There are three.
I had a bit of trouble convincing the manager to let me leave the book there actually, and had to do quite a bit of fast talking. I convinced her that seeming we're both gamers, he might buy me a gift while he's in there getting the book.
Now I just have to find a way to warn him and tell him that I wasn't trying to get anything out of him.

Fourth clue: A small magazine collarge.

I cut the words "1st new years kiss" from different magazines to make a small clue card. Our first new years kiss was at a hotel at the edge of town. (What? We wanted privacy!) Hopefully he remembers that and which one.

Fifth clue: A list of places.

All it is is a list of places we've had sex. There's no indication what the places have in common at all though. One of them is a place we have not had sex: his parent's couch. He'll need to go there to get the next book and clue.

Sixth clue: A handmade map.

You remember when you were a kid, using tea bags to stain paper and burning the edges to make treasure maps? Yup, this is what I did. I nearly set my burrow on fire in the process, and it is the dodgyiest map ever. I had to label the tree and the rock so he could tell what they were. I'm sure the houses are obvious. The one with the black cat beside it is our place and the book is burred near the rock, marked by and X on the map. I wrapped it in a plastic bag first of course. I just hope no one saw me do it, then went and dug it up.
I didn't have a shovel, so I used Obi's hatchet to dig the hole. It isn't very deep, but it is muddy. If he doesn't already hate me, he will by the time he digs it up with his bare hands.

Seventh clue: Simple riddle.

The riddle is: "Seen from the outside, but not outside. Inside, but not seen from the inside." Or something like that. I didn't write it down. It leads to the window, behind the closed blind.

Eight clue: A simple clue.

"I've been behind you all day where ever you traveled," or something similar. I'll either tape it to the inside of the trunk of his car, or put it behind the driver's seat.

This book includes a love letter and tells him where I'm taking him for dinner and that he'll get his final pressie then. Which he'll assume is another book, because he'll only have one missing from the series by this stage. But it isn't. I bought glass goblets and filled them with chocolate rabbits, nine milk chocolate bunnies and one white chocolate bunny per glass. They look really neat. And I made him a card too If I had a camera, there'd be pictures, but I don't.

So I hope someone can steal some ideas from this. Other places I thought of to hide the books were in his computer case, in the post box or in his work bag. But I didn't have clues for them. Also a gym locker would have been neat (Squiddie's idea) but Obi doesn't have one.

Two years of officialness tomorrow!
I love my Canadian boyfriend.
