I got back to Germany on Saturday morning after spending 5 weeks with my SO. It was such a wonderful visit. Seeing him at the airport after 8,5 months was just the best feeling and it was our 2nd anniversary which made it even more special.
We were able to spend the whole 5 weeks together because we were both on break from uni, which was great there, but it makes being back even harder. I'm still in that phase that really sucks...
Anyway, we didn't really do that much. It was great just to spend time with him and do everyday-life-stuff.
We did go to the village where we're putting up the education center / community library and we were able to get started on that with all the kind and generous donations we received from friends and family
The best part of the whole visit was a weekend-trip we took, back to the place where we first met. A national park with lots of elephants and other animals. I love watching the elephants when they come around. We arrived on Friday around noon and spent the day relaxing and reminiscing...
In the evening we dressed up for dinner at the hotel. We bought a bottle of wine, even though they're quite expensive there, but we were celebrating after all. Just after our dinner arrived, he took my hand and told me that he wanted to say something before we start. He seemed very nervous. After his sweet, short "speech", he asked me to close my eyes...
When I opened them again, there was a small box on the table with a beautiful ring !
It was the biggest surprise. I'm so happy and excited !!
