My SO kept being mysterious all day and eventually I asked, and he said that his present to me wasn't going to "arrive until tomorrow". I told him I don't need gifts (because I really don't, they usually make me slightly uneasy xD I mean, all I did was stay alive for another year, I didn't do anything in particular :P) but he was persistent and I gave in, trying to figure out what he's been up to this time around. Saturday came along, and the boyfriend suggested going to the lake at 6pm. We NEVER go to the lake at 6pm, especially not in the middle of winter xD But I said sure, suspecting it had something to do with the present, and spent the next 7 hours of the day with ants in my pants because I was overly-excited xD Then off we went, and stopped at the gas station in the nearby town. Boyfriend said he had to buy oil for the car, so he went to the store while I stayed and waited. Eventually I saw him coming back, carrying a large box. Utterly confused I thought he'd bought a square-meter of chocolate or something, but then he opened the door on my side, and....
Brought out the cutest puppy I've ever seen!!
I was so suprised! I didn't see this coming at all even though we've been talking about getting a dog, but it turns out he'd been planning this for weeks! I'm on a pink cloud right now, and I've never been happier, he's just so adorable and cute! He's very playful and energetic, but right now he's passed out next to my feet as I write this (we were out for a long walk/play in the forest)
He's about 7 weeks old, and we got him from a family that wanted to get rid of their 6 unwanted puppies - thankfully we got one of them anyway, probably saving him from becoming a full-on street dog. His mother is a German Shepherd and the father is unknown, but he looks very much like a Border Collie so that's our guess! If any of you guys have any suggestions as to what else it could be, please leave a comment! Anyways, here he is: Dexter!
Summerkid: Pure Border Collies aren't common. Then again, there aren't really any pure-breeds in this area at all - they're all mixes of other breeds :P But we think he'll end up looking like a mix of a Border Collie and a Labrador - even though he supposedly has German Shepherd blood too, he really doesn't look like it!
Lucybelle: Huh, is that so? I had no idea! If that's the case, then I guess it's highly likely that they are all a bit different. I guess we can only guess what mix he is
