Update since yesterday

Well I finished my last day at work, I didn't cry and I said my goodbyes, I did fall up the stairs though on my way to clock out...typical me.

Been talking with the SO today too, we were finalizing our travel arrangements for getting me from the airport and back to his.

Originally his step-dad was going to drive him up and us both back but now he has to work, his mum won't ask anyone for a lift despite me saying I will pay them and my SO can't drive. We were thinking we could stay in New Orleans for a night and get a bus home but all the expenses comes up to about $300 for the both of us for 1 night, and that's a bit excessive.

The plan now, is for him to reserve a taxi for me, from the airport back to his which will cost about $170 apparently. It's still costly but it's better than the other option. Either way I still get to visit my man and I'm super excited

Only downer is I've only ever taken a taxi once on my own before (I need to learn more about life)

  If you're flying into New Orleans, can your SO check if they have SuperShuttle? A private taxi is probably less hassle (and the driver should be waiting for you with a sign) but if there is SuperShuttle for New Orleans, it'd probably be less expensive. I just took one in DC, it's a bit annoying because it's a large (11-person) van so they stop at everyone's locations to drop-off but because of that it's like half or 2/3 price of the taxi. They aren't in every major US city yet so it might not be available but just to through it out there!
