I'm not really sure what the problem is.
My husband is educated, good looking, an extremely hard worker, and just an all-around great guy. He's a little shy, but still. There's nothing wrong with him.
And he CANNOT get a break job-wise.
He didn't have the best time growing up. (Not many people do nowadays.)
He was a delivery guy for years after high school. After his dad passed away while my SO was in his early 20's, he kind of lost purpose and became depressed and struggled a lot.
Once we started dating he decided he wanted to get his life back on track. He decided to get a grown up job, and tried selling insurance, but he is too honest for that and it didn't work out.
He then has kept trying to get jobs, but the only jobs he gets are terrible.
He finally had a good job trimming trees, and then in a freak accident can't work for 2+ months.
He's currently going to school to become a computer programmer, and has 2 years left.
I feel so bad because he tries so hard and things just don't work out well.
He just started a new job yesterday. He was so excited because even though it doesn't pay much, it works with his school schedule which is super important to us.
He got home from work last night completely downhearted and distressed. The job he is doing is nothing like it was advertised, and to be worse, it is a super poorly run and managed job. One of his coworkers can't even read and is proud of it!

It hurts me that the only jobs he can get is a super crappy job, even though he is terrific!
And he was soooo excited to finally be making money and it's just such a bad job.
He's so good for going back though. What a great husband!
I have 2 part-time jobs but they just aren't bringing in enough money to cover the bare necessities. I wish I could support us both until he finishes school so he can just focus on that and then get a kick-a** job with computers or something.

Also, random side note: I worry for my SO since his injury. Meaning I don't really want him going into hard physical labor or dangerous jobs that could re-hurt his head. He doesn't really have any problems left over from his head injury except sometimes a little pain as the skin keeps healing, and a little personality difference that I think is from the accident that no one but me would ever notice. So yeah. I'm just a great big ball of happiness here
Hoping things get better!
