- Exercise at least three times a week
- Practice my violin three times a week
- Practice my Mandarin three times a week (It's embarrassing how low my level is after being in America only 8 months. Not that is was great while I was in China lol)
- No snacking except raw veggies or fruits
- Eat healthy foods, no fast food and minimal processed foods
- Don't eat after dinner
I say serious, because I like to set goals, but lately I've been having a hard time making myself stick to them. I discovered I am no good at year-long resolutions. I decided I have the will-power (or at least I think I do… ) to make a month-long resolution - And stick with it! I know that if I can complete this it will help build my resolve and also make it easier to stick with it in the long run. So yea. I'm pretty stoked about this and I am looking forward to becoming a hot wife. I've been a hot GF for my SO, but gaining 40 lbs. in 4-ish months doesn't make for hot wife material… At least not me! Some people can pull off weight and still look great! I just look like a fatty with maternity-mom boobs. So yea.
Oh, and on the maternity-mom front: Last night I dreamed I was pregnant. Felt the baby kicking and everything. I saw my huge baby belly and just… It felt so real. I was sad to wake up without a baby. But then reality (and my period) hit minutes later and I was so relieved! Lucky for me dreams didn't come true today! lol.
Anyways, since I got married I've been more hormonal on/around my periods, and they seem to be way more painful. And I crave things way more than I ever did before. I'm really glad that today is almost over so that I only have to keep my "no junk food" resolve a few more hours today… Tomorrow it will be easier. The first day sucks. And I don't want to blow my "month resolution" just three days in!
Good news! Husband has a job! It's pretty crappy, and pays crap, but it's a job. And he is sooooo happy to be contributing to finances! Yay for his male ego!
80: having no junk food would be easiest, right? Unfortunately for me haha my husband likes snacks to pack in his work lunch. I figure it's cheaper and healthier than fast food so I don't mind. This guarantees there are snacks in our house, especially as we wait for great deals and then stock up. So this is quite a self-control exercise
But seriously, congrats to him for finding work. Any work is better than nothing, this could be a step in the direction of something awesome.
On the food front, maybe you can lock the snack cupboard and not have a key yourself? I know for us there's some food that Obi needs to keep in his work bag or the car, or I won't be able to... oh fuck I got to be at work in 15 minutes!
