So, I just wanted to get this out somewhere...

Husband and I went for new phones today. We've been saving for a long time, and haven't had new phones for over 4 years, so yeah... It was time.

So we are in the store and Husband has his new phone all set up. All of his pictures transferred successfully. Yay!

Then it is my turn. The tech opens my new phone and says he will transfer my contacts but everything else will be lost if it is not backed up.

At that moment it hit me... All of my old texts with my husband are on my old phone, and we were trading in our old phones for a credit towards our new phones.

The thought of losing all of our messages made me panic, and I suddenly burst into tears and could not stop crying!!!

I just couldn't... It was so embarrassing.

After several minutes of unstoppable crying and the techs bringing me tissues, I was able to think clearly and realize my messages were actually backed up on my laptop. Cue a huge moment of relief and the ability to finish the phone buying process.

It was so humiliating even while it was happening, but the thought of losing all our LD messages (basically our entire relationship spelled out through text) made me immediately panic. I was sweating profusely and crying uncontrollably.

I have rare moments of panic when my SO leaves and I get LDR déjà vu, but they have never been in public.

LUCKILY now that I am home I have been able to transfer all of my old messages on my new phone. YAYYYYYYYYY <3

Anyone else ever have moments like this?
