Here's a positive blog!
Most if not all of the problems from my previous blogs have been resolved. I basically knew back then that I was worrying too much and too early, but I can't help it. In Polish there's an idiom about stocking up on worries and that's exactly what I'm doing, but as much as I try I can't be one of these "live today!"-people. And actually, I don't want, I like having my (near) future planned and if worrying ahead uneccessarily comes as part of that, then that's how it is.
Anyway, what I wanted to write:
I handed in my BA thesis on Wednesday!
I'm not completely satisfied and I don't think it turned out very good *sigh* but I figured, I'm getting my Master's anyway. Who will ever care about the grade I had in my BA? Plus I have a pretty decent GPA now, even if the thesis turns out so-so, it'll still be ok.
As a reward for myself I went to Primark yesterday and bought a bunch of lingerie. I don't like most clothes they have, but their bras and panties are perfect for me.
My boyfriend (or rather I) bought plane tickets for him to visit me in Febuary! He'll be here for 5 days and on Valentine's day. I have an exam in Old Church Slavonic on the 15th (the day he's leaving), so I will probably have to be studying for at least part of the visit, but the important thing is: he's coming and we have another visit planned.
This has calmed me down soo much
I paid to have my boyfriend's High School Certificates recognised at my university. They said something about it taking a few weeks (up to six) and I was worrying that I won't get the documents in time for him to apply for uni here. It turned out it took them only a week and I already have the recognition documents. Which means he can apply at my uni as well. They don't offer any programmes for him, but he could do the preparational German course, which he needs to do anyway. My uni has a lot more places in German courses, so if he doesn't make it at the uni he was supposed to go to, he can come here. We'd be close distance for at least half a year.
I recieved my Secret Santa Package today It contained a couple of Lush products, which is really cool. I haven't bought anything from there in a really long time, but I used to love Lush. So thank you sooo much, Snowy.Winter! I was sort of sceptic of the Snow Fairy Lip Tint at first, but I actually like the smell (it's not too intense) on my lips and it looks gorgeous. YAY!
I actually went to the bums tums legs-class at my Gym last night. I hadn't been there in almost a month, due to travels and my thesis. I'm planning on going again tomorrow with a friend. Working out regularly really makes me feel a lot better.
In other news:
I have a presentation due on Wednesday, about German Stereotypes in Poland in the 18th and 19th century. Which is actually a pretty fun topic and I don't mind preparing it over the weekend at all
Aand I made an appointment with a gyno who has experience with the Gynefix IUD. I'm going on the 30th and ask more information about it, since I've been considering it for quite some time already. Especially now that we're going to close/reduce the distance.
Ah, help: Is there any tradition concerning Valentine's Day in Germany that I should know in advance? ;-)
