I finally got the last grade missing from my Bachelor's GPA today. It's a 1.1 or 1.2. I can only see the modul grade, which is 2.1 and I know I had 3.0 in the other paper that counted for that grade, so this one must be either 1.1 or 1.2* (haha, yeah I needed my boyfriend's help to figure that out. Guess why I'm in linguistics). YAY!!
It took me half a year to write that paper and it was soo frustrating, so I'm really happy about the grade.
Now it's only my thesis (hurry up and give me my grade already!) and the defence and I'm officially done with my Bachelor's degree!!
It's obvious though that I had much better grades in Slavic studies than in linguistics, so that's why I'm doing that for my Master's. I've already filed my application and when I asked yesterday they said, they're going to send out acceptance/rejction letters until mid febuary. I'm not really worried about that since so far my grades have been decent and there's no competition anyway.
The perks of studying something as exotic as Polish. I've had classes where were were only 3 (two students + lecturer), I was taking a class this semester where I was alone (and consequently got all the texts to work on them at home) and when there's more than 10 people in a class, that's incredibly crowded in my skewed vision.
My boyfriend's arriving the day after tomorrow and he's staying until Wednesday morning. He has his last undergrad exam on Friday and then he's taking a taxi to the airport and two hours later he'll be here with me I got him a cute present (that I got for free, but *pshh*) for valentine's and we're planning to have a nice dinner together somewhere. My university's canteen is offering a romantic valentine's menu Everytime I see the announcements it makes me smile. Romantic lunch at the university canteen? Tile floor, really long tables, plastic dishes.... How can you get more romantic than that?!
We're also going to go to our dorm adminstration together with my roommate so we can see if she can move to another room so my boyfriend can move in with me. Soo excited about this! We might be living together after Easter already. I can't believe it's going so fast now and I can't wait to wake up next to him every morning, to say good night in person every night and also for him to complain about my stuff lying on the floor.
And +100€/a month, because I won't have to pay for travelling anymore. I'm considering getting a savings account to save up for our wedding (in 3 years), so I need to make an appointment with my bank.
I've been so busy this week, catching up on my classes and work stuff. I used a microfilm scanner for the first time ever, because my prof ordered some essay from 1958. Fun stuff.
I'm sorry if this was boring and about nothing in particular.
*1.0 is the best, in case you were wondering
For us Americans, how much is +100€?
That's great though! I'm happy things are going well for you
