It's starting to get frustrating. I'm trying to not let it get to me, but it's not easy. My boyfriend has sent out dozends of of CVs and he hasn't gotten one single answer. I don't know if it's him. I sort of feel like he isn't trying hard enough. And I don't know if I'm being unfair. Sending out CVs online hardly seems like trying hard. I told him to actually call the places, but he tried today and apparently it wasn't very sucessful either. *sigh* I really don't know and I don't want to make it harder on him, because I know how frustrating it must be already.
On the bright side: I started giving private German lessons and I have three students already and a new one next week. I also got a call from the job interview I had two (?) weeks ago and they'd employ me for 20h/a week. I'm still waiting for details, but I think I might accept their offer.
My contract for my research assistant position ends this month and while I could technically do with just my scholarship, having an extra job would obviously help.

Tomorrow morning I'm helping one of my profs here translate a guest lecture. His assistant was supposed to do it, but apparently she's sick, so he asked me. I'm sort of nervous, because it's on an extremely exotic topic: Theatrality in Bulgaria: Kukeri - Masks - Dances. Don't worry, I didn't understand anything either when I first heard/read it. And I'm not sure I understand now. (Kukeri is apparently a Bulgarian tradition?) Haha. I have no idea what to expect. I hope not a lot of people show up, because I've never translated in front of big-ish groups before, especially not Ger->Pol.
He invited me to go see "Nathan the Wise" with them in the evening, but it's my boyfriend's mum's birthday and she invited us over.

And because you were brave enough to read the boring stuff, here are some photos:

You can't really see it (I should upload a bigger version) but this is me and a statue holding a book with
Marx Engels Lenin and a blank spot where "Stalin" used to be... Also my new bag!

We found these guys not even a minute's walk from where we live. There's no escaping the socialist past!
