I don't mean to say that my roommate is disrespectful or whatever. She is seriously amazing, I took a gamble when I looked for roommates off craigslist but she is amazing. I am quieter than she is but she is good at respecting my space and my things and we let each other know if we plan on doing anything disruptive. So last night when she brought someone home (I say last night, but it was more like 4 a.m.) I couldn't be mad at her. She's been single and looking for a long time so if she can get some action, I'm glad for her! It's not even like they had wild kinky sex and I got to hear all of it. It was just some kissing noises and talking.
It's the talking that was creepy. Because she was whispering in an attempt to be silent and not wake me up, but he wasn't following up on that and didn't try to lower his voice.
And let me tell you, waking up to a loud, booming male voice right outside your door (the bathroom is opposite my room), followed by what sounded like a kick (I assume he stumbled into the bathroom door in his drunkenness) is terrifying. I almost started screaming before I realized I could hear my roommate's whispering and that she must have come home. I couldn't sleep again for the next two hours because of the adrenaline.
Moral of the story: if you bring someone home and you have not let your roommate know ahead of time, at least tell your guest to try and be careful :P
