I don't write blogs very often, but when I do....
It's usually because I can't get something out of my head

My SO and I haven't seen each other since July 2nd. This has been our longest time apart, and as rough as it's been, I've realized that we're damn lucky to see each other as often as we do, considering we live 6,000 miles apart!

I'm so thankful to be able to spend this holiday season with him <3
I'll be with him for 3 weeks, and although we don't have many plans set up yet, I do know that we will be visiting his twin brother and his brother's girlfriend on New Years' Eve. They live in Magdeburg, which is about 1.5 hours by train from where my SO lives in Potsdam. I haven't been there yet, but I've heard it's a beautiful city

I bought a really cute dress to wear on NYE, and even though it's not weather-appropriate, we'll be inside for most of the evening, so I think it'll work. I thought it was perfect for the holidays, and it was only $18! Here's the picture of the dress, just because I'm so excited about it, lol.

Sorry it's so huge, but I'm not sure how to re-size it. And the girl in the pic is not me, btw ^^

I really wish I had been able to practice my German more often these past few months, but I've been so busy this semester, I've barely had time :/ I guess my mediocre German will have to do for now ^^

It's weird...I fly out to see my SO in 3 days, but I feel like it hasn't completely hit me yet. Maybe because I'm still waiting for Christmas day to be over with. I'm sure I'll be really hyper on Xmas night, and I doubt I'll be getting much sleep!

I know that when I finally see him, though, it will feel like nothing else in the world matters I can't wait for that first moment....you guys know it, I'm sure...when you haven't seen your SO for so long, and then you finally get that first glimpse of them.....the best feeling ever
Unfortunately, the Berlin-Tegel airport ruins that moment a bit, because once you step off the plane and go through customs and security, you have to wait to collect your bags from the carousel first before meeting up with anyone. It's like torture, though, because while you're waiting for your suitcase to be loaded onto the carousel, there is a glass wall separating you from the rest of your airport. On the other side of the glass wall, you can see everyone standing there waiting for the passengers to get off the plane, and that is when I always catch my first glimpse of my SO. Of course, every time I've visited my SO, the carousel has always broken down, and I had to wait 15 minutes for my bag to arrive, just staring at my SO the entire time, lol. Let's hope that doesn't happen this time

Anyways, I'm sure you all are awfully bored of reading my thoughts by now, but I will continue to blog throughout my visit with my SO and keep you all updated...for those who care anyways
Thanks for reading, and Happy Holidays, LFADers!!
