Finally, a happy blog from me!
This all started a few weeks ago when I was hanging out with a friend of mine. We were browsing on Pinterest when we came across a pin called Boudoir Photography. For those of you who may not be familiar with the term, Boudoir Photography is basically sexy/erotic photography for women (mostly), where they dress up in lingerie or sexy outfits and get their pictures taken. As soon as I saw the pins, I was hooked! All the women looked so beautiful, no matter their shape or size, and their outfits were stunning, as well. At that moment, I had an epiphany: This is what I'll get my SO for his birthday!

My SO is turning 30 in September, so I wanted to do something really special for him this year. I'm bummed that I won't be there in person to celebrate, so I wanted to get him a nice gift so he knows that I'm thinking of him. Plus, he loves it when I send sexy pictures to him, so I figured he would really love this gift ^^
I immediately started searching on Yelp for boudoir photography studios, and I found one in Downtown Los Angeles that had amazing reviews. Here is the site if anyone is interested: http://www.boudoirrougephoto.com/
I really liked the fact that the photographers were female, and they also both have their Bachelor's degrees in Photography, so I knew they weren't amateurs!

This morning was the appointment for my shoot, so I was really excited, but also a bit nervous.
Warning- possible TMI part for some people: For my shoot, I decided to wear a matching bra and panty set that I bought from Victoria's Secret. The bra and panty were pink with silver sparkles, and I also bought pink stockings with bows on them to match. I brought silver stilettos to wear, as well. The outfit went great together!
Ok, TMI part over!

Unfortunately, the photography studio wasn't in the best area of Downtown LA. I think many people are under the impression that LA is filled with movie stars and glamour. To an extent, it is, and there is also a lot of wealth in LA. However, there are some poverty-stricken areas as well, and this photo studio was in one of them. It made me a bit nervous about what to expect, but once I got up to the studio, I was amazed! It was a beautiful room filled with lots of pretty furniture, and since the room was on the 8th floor of the building, there was also a bird's eye view of Downtown LA outside the window.

My photographers were very sweet and professional, while also making me completely at ease, despite the fact that I was wearing lingerie in front of people I had just met
I'm no model, either, so I wasn't sure how to pose for the pictures. They helped me out a lot, though, and gave me a ton of great suggestions. They told me to "bring out my inner model!" and "be myself".
I had SO much fun throughout the shoot. It was really an amazing experience, and I felt so beautiful and confident afterwards
Unfortunately, I was under the impression that I would be able to see the pictures right after the shoot was over. They told me, however, that they would email me in about 2 weeks with all the pictures they took (which was about 50), and I will get to choose which ones I like best. Then, they will touch up the chosen pictures and send them to me. I'm a bit worried that the pictures won't arrive to me in time to send them to my SO, as his bday is on September 13th :/ I'm hoping for the best though!

I would honestly recommend this experience to anyone. It was a bit pricey, (I paid $250 for the "one look" package, which meant that I could only wear one outfit), but it was beyond worth it!! I'm really excited for my SO to see the pictures, but I'm also excited to see them myself. One day, when I'm an old granny, sitting in my rocking chair, I can look back at these pictures and think, "Damn, I was HOT!"
Even though I originally did this for my SO, I came out of that studio realizing that I did this for myself, as well.
