I've been meaning to write this blog for awhile, but I've been insanely busy since returning home. So, apologies, to anyone who cares ^^

Visiting SO:
I was in Germany from May 19-June 9! It seems like such a long time when I look at the calendar, but time flew by so fast while I was there. Luckily, my SO wasn't as busy as he was during my last visit, so that was nice
We spent a lot of time walking around Potsdam, and saw his friends quite a few times. I'm happy that I get along with his friends so well! They make me feel like part of "the gang", not just "Die Amerikanerin". (I might have spelled that wrong... sorry to my German friends on here!)

One of my favorite activities was going to 'The Room' in Berlin with my SO's twin brother and his brother's girlfriend. http://www.the-room-berlin.com/en/the-room
The Room is a live escape game, which means that you are locked in a room for one hour, and you have to solve all these clues to get out of the room. There are currently 2 different room scenarios that the business offers, and we picked 'The Beast of Berlin'. I won't spoil the storyline for any members who may visit one day, but let me tell you, it was AWESOME!! It was really intense and often times frustrating, because the clues were very difficult, but it was so much fun. Afterwards, we kept saying that we wish we could relive the moment

We even got to take a picture at the end! LOL at my SO with the hat ^^

Towards the end of my trip, we spent a weekend in Budapest. It was honestly the loveliest city I've ever been to, even better than Prague! The architecture and history is amazing, as well as the food, of course. (I could eat goulash forever...) Here are some pics:

I think it's safe to say we've caught the travel bug. (Not that we didn't have it already ). There are so many other places we want to visit, we just need the money, haha. Someday...

Before I knew it, it was time to go home..again I hate leaving more and more each time. I hate that I feel like I'm getting used to it :/ Sometimes I worry that we'll never close the distance. I know many of you have success stories, and that is amazing! I just worry that will never be us, because we still don't really have a plan of how we can CTD. But, for now, we've decided to focus on our individual futures in the hopes that it will help us be together one day soon Our relationship isn't always perfect, but I couldn't imagine a future with anyone else!

Life Back Home
The day after I came home, my life became crazy busy with work. I was working every day for about 8 hours. Which, I know is standard, but I have a very physically demanding job, and it really wore down on my body. After a week, I feel like my body shut down a bit. The other day, I bent down to pick something off the floor, and I could hardly stand up again. My back hurt SO bad. I'd never felt that type of pain before. I was almost in tears :/ I had a realization that I can't keep doing this anymore. I like my job, but it's so physically hard on my body, I feel like I'm going to be a grandma by the time I'm 30 :/ So, I've been looking into other opportunities. I have always been interested in the hotel industry, so I decided to explore my options a bit. Fortunately, I've already had 2 interviews! One being at the Disneyland Hotel I think they really liked me, and while I don't want to get my hopes up, I feel pretty positive about it. They should be calling me by tomorrow, hopefully. I'll be pretty disappointed if I don't get the position, but I try to remind myself that there are plenty of other opportunities out there. So, we'll see

Thanks for reading, if you made it through all this!
