Dear Fashion Police....

As many people on here probably know, Thanksgiving is just around the corner! The SO and I will be having three Thanksgiving dinners: an early one with my parents, a normal time with my SO's father and that side of the family, and a late dessert with my SO's mother and that side of the family.

My SO's father's dinner will be at a fancy restaurant actually near our house. I've been to the place before - the food is amazinggg. I am so excited to go! That whole side of the family, most of whom I've only met once, will be there so I want to look good. I just heard about this today though and went "Oh my goodness I have nothing to wear!" so I went shopping today with a few friends. This is what we found.... It was only $6!

Taken at home with a little jacket because it will be freezinggg in NJ, especially since I'm used to beautiful Florida weather!

Taken at the store so the picture isn't as good but you can see the length a little better - I cropped out my face because the expression I was giving the camera was sooo weird hahaha.

Basically I'm asking you all: yay or nay?

  Personally, I'd see if you could find some outrageous colored shoe. I love shoes. (& love may be an understatement...) I also have a pair of outrageously high purple suede heels that I'd let you borrow...but the cost to ship them to you would probably be more than a new pair of shoes, lol!
  
  I'm definitely all about a color pop in a shoe, but I think with a dress that is already that busy doesn't need an extra color.
  
  Although purple suede shoes sound like they could go with anything!

  I love shoes, especially fun shoes. My current ballet flat of choice is a leopard print. I wear them with everything, yep. Even other patterns.
  
  But, you could be right, lucybelle. When you do go shoe shopping, ellen, bring the dress with you. Heck, you could even wear it so you can see what it looks like as a whole outfit. And then, of course, post pictures of the whole ensemble on here.

  Thank you for the suggestions! I love the ballet flats I own but they are freeeezing since they are just cloth. I'll prob go out and buy a warmer version of the same pair to be honest - I love ballet flats!
  I wish we were going for Christmas instead so I could convince the SO I needed sparkly jewelry to go with it. Not that he hasn't given me jewelry but hey any excuse for more is fine by me....

  I agree the dress is a little busy. If I go for any color I'll probably go for the light pink in the dress or a possibly even silver, which I could play up in the jewelry. Plus who doesn't love silver shoes?

  I love fun shoes too! My zebra print ballet flats were my shoes of choice until I literally wore holes through them haha (same with the ballet flats my SO's brother got me for Christmas!). I'll probably wear the dress to go shopping - that's a good idea!
  
  I'll update you guys on my choices as soon as I have decided. Thank you all so much!!!!
