Hi all! I did introduce myself a long time ago but have since become a lurker, but from now on I think I have found the courage to become a regular poster and hope to make some friends! I'll try not to ramble on..
Me and my Fiance have decided we're closing the distance after 4 years!
He's from the U.S and I, the U.K.
We've decided to settle here in the U.K. We are to wed in September!
As we cannot afford our own place for a while, we will be living in my parents annex that has its own bathroom and kitchen. I don't think I earn enough to the standards of what the UK border agency would like but we definately won't be living off public funds, so my parents are going to co-sponsor.
Sorry if this sort of thing has been posted before, I looked but couldn't find what I was looking for. I have been on the UK border agency and other websites trying to find out the exact process and what evidence it is we must send in.. but I'm finding its not exactly all black and white.
We want to get this sorted out as soon as possible, so if anyone has gone through this process or is going through the same right now please share some advice! e.g. what evidence is needed for co-sponsor? how long is the process averagely, how much does it cost? What sort of problems could we face?etc.
We need as much help as we can get so thank you so much in advance!
