My SO is living rent free right now for a couple of months and we decided today that it was better for me to come down now and get a job before he had to go and pay for more than electricity. We have a few months to get that together and in three weeks time I will be living in Tennessee. I've already started applying to jobs, putting down that I am available as of the 9th of April. It just seemed like the best choice, that way we could get a real handle on things before the hard part of paying rent and other things. I was just so excited I wanted to share.

It's so great hearing about other couples getting to close the distance. It always reminds me that it will come sooner than I think, and that it is ALL worth it in the long run! - Not that I need reminding about that second point!

Man does he family love drama. Turns out my SO is sort of wimpy and when his dad told him to put it off until next month he didn't argue. I suspect next month will have another excuse but I guess we'll see. Moving in together was a false happy thing. At least I apparently get a visit for a few days, even though I'm a little mad at him for the whole thing. I can't stay mad because I'm a sucker for him anyway.

The visit might change his outlook too. My SO admitted that he hadn't realized how much he missed me when he moved away until he came down for Christmas. Then it was all downhill from there, lol. He missed me like crazy, and it'd drive him crazy if we weren't closing the distance in a few weeks.
