So, after 2+ years, we decided I would move the 2000 miles to Seattle and move in to his apartment. The move and everything went well, I loved being here with him. But I'm now alone again; in a new city, with few friends. Its not his fault that he's gone again, and he'll be back I know. I knew he would have to do this, but its still frustrating. Anyone else out there have this? How do you cope? Any ideas? He's gone 2 months this time, not sure when he might have to go again, and for how long.

While my situation is a bit different, since my SO hasn't left, I know how it feels to be in a new city with no friends. Are you doing stuff to actively meet people? Do you have a job? Volunteer? I'm not sure where you live in Seattle, but I used to live in Capitol Hill and there are tons of volunteer/internship opportunities.
