I'd recommend that you spend some time on visajourney getting familiar with all the various costs. I think most people end up spending $2000-3000 in total. Medical visits are around $300-400 and then you have the fee for the I-129F application, the fee for the visa that you pay at the embassy (around $400 I think), the fee for AOS which is around $1000. Plus you'll have miscellaneous things like paying for police certificates, copies of birth certificates, translations, plane tickets, hotel stay if you need to when you visit the embassy, etc.
So yeah, check out visa journey but I would count on $2000-$3000.

AOS once you get here is around $1250 I think these days. Thankfully if you file for your work permit and advance parole at the same time they don't charge for those forms anymore. Plus you will need to be in London at least twice; one for your medical and one for the interview, so there's all the expenses with that. VisaJourney has a pretty good breakdown of costs, and they keep it pretty up to date too.
