Looking for a Place

As much as I love Craigslist - the last place I lived that I had found on there was terrible. A contractor had my key (without my knowledge) and would enter my house randomly without notice. One time I was shower!

Never again.

I want to live in a nice apartment community that is kept up by a management company (no more landlords, GRRR). Sure, it's 8 months in advance, but I want to start looking soon to see if there will be open leases when I want to move in.

How do you suggest first starting to look for apartments?

well if I'd get myself one I'd first pick out all the ones I can afford and than maybe sort it out by distance of the city center or somethin.
And as far as I know you can usually arrange meetings with the owners etc so you can check out the appartment and if you dont like it still say nope Im lookin for others.

Look for something that is affordable to your pocket, a place that is near the places you like, and a safe neighborhood. Keep on checking, newspapers, adds in the bulletin boards, call the management offices of this developments.
