Any Dutchies close the distance by bringing their partner over on an unmarried partner visa? We're toying with the idea now and I'd love to hear some experiences others have had. It seems pretty easy as long as he's making a certain amount. Is this too good to be true?

Haha funny how I just started a simmilar thread a few days ago
'Getting him over to Holland'.
But we have a totally different situation as I'm still studying...
I have phoned the IND with questions about sponsoring someone over.
There are 2 ways to come over to Holland:
1. Sponsorship by a company = If a company can proof that they have had a job opening that is known with the UWV for at least 5 weeks, and they have done everything they can to find someone suitable in EU, but they can't find someone. They can get someone from outside Europe. But this is not really in your interest
2. Sponsorship by partner: If your (unmarried) partner has a steady job for at least another year, and a minimum monthly income of 1400,- (or so), he can sponsor you over.
For questions about your particular situation I should let your SO call the IND, cause every situation is different ofcourse.
But it looks like you're in a good situation!
Unfortunately I can't share any experiences... But this is what I know.
