I'm moving to the US (visa pending) in July to be with my SO. We're planning on getting married in October. I'm not sure how it works for Canada, but for the US there is a lot of paperwork. I know there are a few people on here who have SO's in Canada so they may be able to offer more spessific help. But you can try looking at the Canadian embassy website for England I'm sure they would have the information on there.
    Engaged Dec 2015!! Visa approved June 2016 . Married July 18th 2016 <3

Home is where the heart is and my home will always be with my love.
All the way from England to the USA.

We are in the process preparing our Sponsorship Visa for my wife to become a Canadian resident.
She is from the US though. It is A LOT of paperwork and information and it can be overwhleming.
There are a lot great sites out there:

My wife and I decided to go with an immigration lawyer because of certain circumstances beyond our control and for peace of mind.

      Married April 18th, 2015!!
      Distance Closed October 4th, 2015!!
