Spouse/ Family visa - financial requirements (UK)

I'm looking at the financial requirements of the family visa that my husband will apply for in the future to move to the UK.

I currently work a salaried job and earn £400 short of the required income so am looking at getting a small second non-salaried job to boost my income.

For anyone that has closed the distance am I able to combine these 2 earnings to meet the requirement?
Flying out to meet him for the first time: 16th November 2014 - 14th December 2014
Flying out to meet him for the second time: 3rd June 2015 -18th July 2015
Flying out to meet him for the third time: 12th December 2016 - 12th January 2017
His first flight to me: April 2018 DENIED ENTRY
Flying out to meet him for the fourth time: 23rd June 2018 - 7th July 2018
    Got Engaged: 12th December 2016
    Married: June 29th 2018
Hoping to close the distance: 2019/2020

Not specifically on UK, but I think they are often after knowing if this is a steady income or not. So if you work an extra job to be able to meet the required income, it would matter if you have a contract on set hours, as opposed to just taking on extra shifts. But what matters more is to meet the income requirement and prefferably be above it.

I am currently working two jobs myself (plus relevant studies) to be able to secure our financial future and meet the future requirements.
I made love to him only twice, she thought and looked at the man laying asleep beside her. And yet still it is as if we have been together forever, as if he has always known my life, my soul, my body, my light, my pain

Hello, I don't want to discourage you, but as a UK citizen you should have known that it's not easy. And it requires that the other half gain a lot of money and I mean you.I don't know the details but I may ask my boyfriend.I have been refused the entry to the UK recently...... and I hope that you will find a solution to reunite with your love

        Hi Hana,
I am very sorry to hear that, and I hope by the time you're reading this you and your SO have found a solution and/or have been reunited again. May I know why did they refuse your application? I understand if it's to private for you to share.

        Thank you

The financial requirements at the moment for bringing your SO or any family to the UK are that you must earn £18,600 a year for at least 2 years before you make the application. Savings over £16,000 are taken into account if your salary falls below £18,600. That's about all I know so far, as we haven't reached that point yet. But I am trying to prepare ahead with it in mind.
