I've never lived with an SO before, so when mine moves in with me in... LESS THAN FOUR WEEKS (I'm so chill about it...) it'll be a big adjustment.

So now I'm trying to hang out with all my friends before he comes! I know that sounds silly, but girls like hanging with girls! I don't want to leave him behind for days on end to visit my girls who live in different states, but I also don't want to go 6 months without seeing them! Most of my girl friends are single, and it's always a third wheel when someone brings an SO... you know?

Or am I waayyyyy over thinking these things?

One of my best friends and I are hanging out the weekend before my SO comes to move in. We're gonna go to a martini bar, wear low-cut shirts, and drink froo-froo girly drinks. Yee haw!

My boyfriend came to stay with my for 5 months. I had the same thoughts. I knew that he wouldn't know anyone and I didn't want to spend all my time out with the girls. He ended up getting along really well with my sisters bf so they hung out from time to time. I'd invite him along for coffee dates with my friends because I didn't want to feel like I was leaving him out. He told me that I shouldn't feel bad if I want to go out with my friends without him and encouraged me to. I still felt a little guilty but it was really great knowing he didn't have a problem with it.
I guess if I put myself in his position I would also want him to go out and have a good time. I wouldn't want him to feel like I am holding him back.

Also like bluepotato said, double dates are awesome. You can hang out with your friends while your SO potentially makes new ones

You can always tell your SO that you're having a girl's night out. I'm sure he'll respect that.

My SO and I will both be moving in together in like 2 1/2 months, but we're both moving away from where we now live to a new place in Atlanta. I'm sure in the weeks leading up to the move, I'll be spending a lot of nights out with the friends.
